Install the App for Your Google Home

This tutorial will show you how to setup your Google Home device and link it to your phone/tablet.

Things you will need in advance:

• You will need to know your home Wireless Network Name and Security Key (password) to connect to it.
• Your Google Home device should be unboxed and plugged into power.
• Make sure to connect your mobile device/tablet to the same Wi-Fi network that you intend to use to set up your Google Home device.
• Ideally, your home router should be in a central location in order to provide the best signal to all devices.

1. Open Play Store.
   
   
   
2. Type "Google Home" in the search bar and select Google Home.
   
   
   
3. Tap Install to start downloading the app.
   
   
   
4. Once installed, tap Open to proceed to the setup.
   

1. Open the Google Home app.
   
   
   
2. Tap on Get Started.
   
   
   
3. Confirm which Google Account to use and tap OK.
   
   
   
4. Tap Next and then tap Allow for permissions that are requested.
   
   
   
5. Google Home will search for Google devices. Pick your device from the list and then click Next.
   
   
   
6. Tap Yes to confirm you heard noise from the Google Home device you're setting up.
   
   
   
7. If prompted, tap the region list and then select your region and then Continue.
8. Choose a language and tap Next.
9. Choose the room where your device is located and tap Next.
   
   
   
10. Choose the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to and tap Next.
    
    
    
11. Type you Network Security Key (Wi-Fi Password) and tap Connect.
    
    
    
12. Tap Next to setup your Google Assistant.
    
    
    
13. Get personal results with Voice Match by tapping Continue.
    
    
    
14. Speak the phrases on the screen and tap Continue when finished.
    
    
    
15. Tap Allow if you wish to allow the use of personal results.
    
    
    
16. Enter your address and tap Next.
17. A summary will appear with options to link media services and payment methods to link to your Google Home. Select which you would like to use and tap Next.
18. Tap Continue to proceed to the next page.
    
    
    
19. Tap Finish Setup to complete setup.
    

1. Open the App Store.
    
2. Type in "Google Home" in the search bar.
3. Find Google Home in the search results and tap on GET.
    
4. Tap on Install to start download.

2. Tap on Get Started.

4. If Bluetooth is disabled you'll be asked to turn it on. Swipe Up from the bottom of your screen and tap the Bluetooth Icon and Swipe Down to continue.
    
5. Google Home will search for Google devices. Pick your device from the list and then click Next.
    
6. Tap Yes to confirm you heard noise from the Google Home device you're setting up.
    
7. Tap the region list and then select your region and then Continue.
   
   
8. Choose a language and tap Next.
9. Choose the room where your device is located and tap Next.
    
10. Choose the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to and tap Next.
     
11. Type you Network Security Key (Wi-Fi Password) and tap Connect.
     
12. Tap Next to setup your Google Assistant
     
13. Get personal results with Voice Match by tapping continue.
     
14. Speak the phrases on the screen and tap Complete when done.
     
15. Enter your address and tap Next.
16. A summary will appear with options to link media services and payment methods to link to your Google Home. Select which you would like to use and tap Next.
17. Tap Next to proceed to the next page
     
18. Tap Finish Setup.
