1 Screen Mirroring (AirPlay)
AirPlay allows you to mirror your entire screen, or a single QuickTime-compatible video file to your AppleTV.
Many apps support AirPlay. Look for the AirPlay icon on the toolbar of your favorite video or audio app.
To Mirror Your Screen to an Apple TV
Your device must be connected to the same WiFi network as your Apple TV.
- Open the Control Center.
For iPhone X
To access the Control Center on an iPhone X, swipe down from the upper-right corner of the screen.
For All Other iOS Devices
To access the Control Center on an iOS device, Swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen.
- On the Control Center, tap Screen Mirroring.
- Select your Apple TV.
- If an AirPlay passcode appears on your TV screen, enter the passcode on your iOS device.
Your TV uses your mirrored iOS device's screen orientation. To fill your TV screen, tilt your mirrored iOS device.
2 Turn Off Screen Mirroring (AirPlay)
- Open the Control Center.
For iPhone X
To access the Control Center on an iPhone X, swipe down from the upper-right corner of the screen.
For All Other iOS Devices
To access the Control Center on an iOS device, Swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen.
- On the Control Center, tap Screen Mirroring.
- Tap your Apple TV to uncheck it within the list.
