1. Introduction: Threshold Ara Pendant Lamp: Basic Setup

Brighten up any room of your home with the Ara Collection Smart Lighting Pendant Lamp from Threshold. This pendant lamp is lightweight and easy to install, and comes with an energy-efficient LED bulb so you don't need to hunt for the right bulb. This ceiling lamp has a simple yet classy design that will look sharp in your home.

This guide will walk you through installing the iOS app to control the light from your smartphone or tablet.

2. Mobile: Android or iOS

For the next steps, we need to determine what type of mobile device you have.

3. Target Connected: Android Install

The Target Connected app is only available for iOS at this time.

4. iOS: Enable Bluetooth

1. Open Settings on your phone or tablet.
   

1. Then tap Bluetooth.
   

1. Make sure Bluetooth is set to On.
   

5. Target Connected: iOS Install

1. Open the App Store.
   

1. Select Search in the bottom right corner.
   

1. Type in Target Connected, and select Target Connected from the list.
   

1. Select Get for Target Connected.
   

1. Select Open.
   

6. Threshold Ara Pendant Lamp: Connect

1. Launch the Target Connected app.
   

1. The app will search for and locate your lamp automatically.
2. If you've used the Target Connected app before, select +, then select Add new lamp.
   

1. Follow the on screen prompts. Once connected, you'll be asked if you would like to add the lamp to a mode to adjust the settings along with the other lamps at the same time.
2. Once your lamp is set up you can control various settings such as Color Temperature, Brightness and Lock.
   

1. A vacation timer can be configured for your lamp as well. Set the turn on time, turn off time and then tap Done.
   

7. Threshold Ara Pendant Lamp: Install

Installation of the Ara Pendant Lamp involves opening up your existing light fixture, disconnecting, then reconnecting those wires to the Ara Pendant Lamp, or installing a brand new one.
