Connect Sylvania Smart+ Devices to Wink Hub

1. Introduction

Your Wink hub is the central hub for your home automation devices. Sylvania offers both Zigbee and Bluetooth lights, switches, plugs and other devices, all of which can be connected and control by your Wink hub. This guide will walk you through adding your Sylvania devices to your Wink hub, allowing you to use the Wink app or connected services to control and schedule your lighting to your needs.

You will need to have your Wink Home Hub setup and functioning in order to connect other devices.

2. Add Sylvania Device to Wink

1. Open the Wink app, and select the menu on the top left.
   

1. Select Add to Wink.
   

1. Select Lighting.Sylvania is a lighting manufacturer, and all their items are categorized under Lighting.

1. Select Lights or Outlets. Lights for any lights or switches, Outlets for the Sylvania Smart+ Plug.
   

1. Select the specific device you have.
   

1. Wink is asking for access to my location.
2. In order to do location-aware tasks such as turning on your lights when you arrive home, Wink will need access to your smartphone's location information.
3. Select Apply.
   

1. A short welcome screen is shown, select Next.
   

1. You'll be asked to plug in and turn on your light or device. Do so now, and select Next.
   

1. Follow the instructions on screen to complete the setup of your Sylvania Smart+ device.
