If your router is not functioning well after a firmware upgrade, you can restore its factory settings. This will replace any user-defined settings with factory defaults.
Resetting your router will clear all your home networking settings and will change all of your settings back to the defaults.
2. D-Link Router: Factory Reset
Resetting your router will clear all your home networking settings and will change all of your settings back to the defaults.
To perform a factory reset, please follow the steps below:
Ensure that the router is ON.
Locate the small hole that reads Reset from the back of the router.
Press/Hold down the Reset button with a Paper Clip for 10-15 seconds and release.
After you have completed the steps from 1 to 3, the router will be reset to the factory default settings.
Your D-Link router is now using the default settings for the network configuration.
