1. Introduction
Your Fitbit device's battery is designed to last approximately 5 days. Actual battery life will fluctuate depending on the amount of usage your device gets, and settings such as All-Day Sync. If you find that your device's battery is depleting more quickly than usual, this guide will go over different ways to improve battery life on your Fitbit device.
Don't charge your tracker in extreme heat or cold.
2. All-Day Sync
All-Day sync allow your Fitbit device to sync to your mobile device or computer automatically. This will drain your battery quicker. One way to increase the time between charges is to turn off All-Day Sync.
Open the Fitbit Application.
Select the Account icon.
Select your Device, and Turn off All-day Sync to save battery, or Turn on if you want it on. With Android Devices, Always Connected, acts the same way.
3. Quick View
The screens on all Fitbit wrist-based devices dim when not in use to preserve battery. To wake up the screen and see the time, turn your wrist towards you.
To turn off this feature, follow the steps below.
Open the Fitbit Application
Select the Account icon.
Select your Device, and Slide off Quick View to save battery, or Slide on if you want it on.
4. Other Battery Drain Fixes
Heart Rate Data
If you don't need heart rate data, change the Heart Rate setting to Off. When you turn it back on, use Auto.
Select the Account icon.
Turn off Heart Rate.
Excessive Notifications
Turn off notifications from your phone if you know you're going to receive many hundreds of notifications. A large volume reduces battery life.
Select the Account icon.
Select Notifications.
Turn ON or OFF the Notifications you want to receive.
Menu Items
On Charge 2, use guided breathing sessions less frequently. Multiple sessions per day may reduce battery life. Also consider turning off bedtime reminders.
Select the Account icon.
Select Menu Items.
Select Relax and/or any other items to turn off.
Silent Alarms
If you have many silent alarms set, consider deleting some. Each alarm you add up to the maximum of 8 reduces battery life by a small percentage.
