Smart TVs often come with companion applications that add more functionality to your television. These apps can sometimes fail to work properly. This guide will walk you through repairing common issues with those applications.
1 Android or iOS

Smart TVs often come with companion applications that add more functionality to your television. These apps can sometimes fail to work properly. This guide will walk you through repairing common issues with those applications.
The next steps depend on what kind of mobile device you use.
- Hold down the lock/power button.
- Slide to power off when prompted.
- Wait until the phone is off.
- Hold down the lock/power button until you see the Apple logo.
The next steps will guide you through reinstalling the app you are having issues with. We'll start by uninstalling the app and then reinstall it from the Apple App Store.
To remove an app:
- From your main screen, locate the app you wish to remove.
- Lightly touch and hold the app until it jiggles or vibrates.
- Tap X in the upper-left corner of the app.
- Tap Delete.
- From the main screen, open the App Store.
- At the bottom of the screen, tap on Search.
- Type name of the desired app on the search bar at the top.
- Tap Search to start the search.

- Tap the App to see its download options.
- Next, tap the button:
- GET if the app is free.
- PRICE if it is a paid app.
- Tap OPEN once the app is installed.
- Hold down the power button on your Android device.
Depending on the manufacturer and model of Android device you have, the location of the power button will vary.
- A prompt will appear on-screen. Select Restart.
If the menu does not pop up, continue to hold the power button, and your Android device will shut off.
- If you had to shut down your Android device, wait 30 seconds before turning your device back on.

There are two ways to uninstall apps from your Android device.

Uninstall from Home Screen or App Drawer
- Locate the app on your Home Screen or App Drawer. Tap and hold the app icon, and start dragging it around.
- Drag the icon to Uninstall at the top then release.
- When prompted if you want to uninstall, select OK.

Uninstall from Settings
- Open Settings on your phone or tablet.
- Select Apps.
- Select the app you'd like to uninstall.
- Select Uninstall.
- When prompted if you want to uninstall, select OK.
- Open Settings on your phone or tablet.
- Launch the Play Store on your device.
- Search for your desired app using the search box located at the top.
- Touch the magnifying glass on the on-screen keyboard to search.
- On the app's install page, touch INSTALL.
- Review the install prompt that pops up. Once done, touch ACCEPT.
- Wait for the download to finish. Once done, touch OPEN to launch the app or go back to your apps to access the new app's icon.
