How to Add a Sengled Smart Light Bulb to IFTTT

1. Introduction

This guide will walk you through connecting your Sengled account to your IFTTT account, to use the features of IFTTT such as turning on your lights when you get home, when the weather changes, or a multitude of other triggers provided by IFTTT.

Before You Begin:

Active IFTTT Account
Before beginning, you need to have an active IFTTT account.

Sengled Light Setup
Before you can link your Sengled devices to your IFTTT account, you must have setup your Sengled device with the appropriate Sengled app first.

Unsupported Sengled Bulbs

At this time, certain Sengled smart bulbs do not integrate with IFTTT, as they do not have a way to talk to a server on the Internet.

Sengled Pulse

At this time, the Sengled Pulse line of bulbs only connect via Bluetooth, not Zigbee or Wi-Fi. They will only talk to another Bluetooth device such as your phone, or the Sengled Pulse Link.

Sengled Smartsense

The Sengled Smartsense bulbs have no connectivity, rather they just provide a convenient motion sensor combined with an energy efficient light.

Sengled Element with Other Hubs

If you're using your Sengled Element bulbs and devices with a 3rd party hub, such as Wink or SmartThings, IFTTT can access these bulbs through those services instead.

2. Link Your Sengled Account to IFTTT

1. Open your preferred browser, and go to the IFTTT page.

1. Sign into IFTTT if asked.
2. Select Sign In at the top right.
   

1. Enter your IFTTT Username and Password, then select Sign In.
   

1. Select Get more in the top right corner.
   

1. For search, type in Sengled.
   

1. Select Services, then select Sengled.
   

1. Select Connect.
   

1. Enter your Sengled Email address and Password, then select Sign In.
   

1. Your Sengled account is now connected to your IFTTT account. You can choose an existing app from the Sengled page, or create your own.
