About Alexa

Alexa is a virtual assistant developed by Amazon that can recognize human speech and allow you to manage or control your smart home devices with your voice only.

2. Add TP-Link Plug

1. Launch the Alexa app on your mobile device.
   

1. Go to Devices in the bottom right.
   

1. Tap the plus sign in the top right to add a new device.
   

1. Select Add Device from the pop-up menu.
   

1. Select the Kasa Smart brand.
   

1. Your TP-Link smart plug should be already set up in the Kasa Smart app to proceed. Tap Continue.
   

1. Tap Enable to Use to activate the TP-Link Kasa skill for Alexa.
   

1. A browser window will pop up. Fill in the email and password you used for your Kasa account then tap Authorize to link your device with Alexa.
   

1. Tap Done to return to the Alexa app.
   

1. Tap Discover Devices to continue.
   

1. Once your plug is discovered, tap Set Up Device.
   

1. Tap Choose Group.
   

1. Choose the room where your plug is located in then tap Add to Group.
   

1. Tap Done to complete the setup of the plug in the Alexa app.
