• Your Ikea TrÃ¥dfri Gateway to be already installed and set up within the Ikea TrÃ¥dfri app on your mobile device.

• The Amazon Alexa app to be already installed on your mobile device.
  
  Install the App for Your Amazon Alexa

2. Enable Amazon Alexa

1. Launch the Ikea Trådfri app on your mobile device.
   

1. Tap Settings in the top right corner.
   

1. Go to Integrations.
   

1. Then select Amazon Alexa.
   

1. Tap Enable.
   

1. Then sign in with your Amazon account and allow Ikea Trådfri to access your profile.
   

3. Add Smart-Home Device

1. Ask Alexa to discover your device. Say, "discover my devices," or select Smart Home within the Alexa app (or @ echo.amazon.com on a PC or Mac computer).
2. Select Add Device.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the linking process.

To determine what skills your newly-added device may have:

1. From the Alexa app (or @ echo.amazon.com on a PC or Mac computer), Select Skills.
2. Browse or enter search keywords to find the skill for your device, then select Enable.If there isn't a skill for your device or service, it may not be compatible with Alexa.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the linking process.
