1. Introduction

You'll Learn:

• How to link your Ikea TrÃ¥dfri Gateway with Apple HomeKit.

You'll Need:

• An iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch running iOS 8 or later.
  
• Android devices are not supported.
• Your Ikea TrÃ¥dfri Gateway to be already installed and set up in the Ikea TrÃ¥dfri app on your mobile device.

2. Get HomeKit Code

1. Launch the Ikea Trådfri app on your mobile device.
   

1. Tap Settings in the top right corner.
   

1. Go to Integrations.
   

1. Then select Apple HomeKit.
   

1. You will be shown the Ikea Trådfri connection code to connect to Apple HomeKit. Take note of it as you will need to enter it in the Apple Home app.
   

3. Add Accessory

To add a new accessory or device to your HomeKit setup:

1. Open the Home app.

2. Choose Add Accessory, or tap the âž• symbol.
3. If you are asked to add an accessory, tap Allow.
4. Use a camera to take a picture of the HomeKit code or QR code on the accessory or documentation.

2. If you have an iPhone 7 or later, and see the the below symbol instead, just hold your phone next to the accessory for a few moments.

2. You'll be asked to enter the details about the device, such as what room the device is in, the name you want to give it. Enter this information so it's easier to find in the future.

2. Tap Done when you've got all the information entered.
