How to Add Philips Hue to Google Home

1. Introduction

Google Home is a smart speaker with the Google Assistant built-in. The Philips Hue system can be integrated with Google Assistant which allows you control your lights with just your voice. This guide will show you how to connect your Philips Hue system with Google Home.

Tools You'll Need:

  • A paperclip
  • iPhone charging cable
  • Access to a computer with iTunes installed
  • Any other non-consumable tools needed
  • Comment out tools section if no tools are necessary

Before You Begin:


You must have the Hue app installed on your smartphone or tablet.

The Philips Hue system must be set up with at least one light installed.

Your Google Home device must already be set up and working.

2. Add Philips Hue to Google Home

Once your Philips Hue system and the Google Home smart speaker are set up, you can easily integrate them using the Google Home app:

  1. Open the Google Home app on your phone or tablet..
