Introduction

Before piloting your DJI drone outside for the first time or if it started flying erratically or not flying normally after a while, you may need to calibrate its compass.

Calibrating your drone's compass on a regular basis can cause more harm than good to its operation. Only perform the calibration if:

  • You're flying at a location farther than six miles away from the last flight location.
  • The drone hasn't been flown for more than one month.
  • The DJI GO 4 app persistently shows compass interference warnings after changing location.
Before You Begin:
You must have the app installed on your phone or tablet.
