• Your ecobee Smart Thermostat uses your address to determine local time and local weather conditions. Local weather information is used to determine the best way to heat or cool your house. Because of this, it is important to ensure that your ecobee account is always using the correct address.

2. Set Location

1. Open your preferred web browser and navigate to https://www.ecobee.com/home.
   

1. Enter your ecobee account credentials, then click Sign In.
   

1. Select Settings.
   

1. Select Location.
   

1. Type in your new address.
   

1. Select Save.
