You'll Need:
- To be by your range extender or have a computer on hand.
2. Check Network Status
You can check the status of your range extender in two ways:
- On the device itself,
- On a computer.
The type and amount of network related information that you get depends on which method you use.
On Your Range Extender
- Locate the network status indicators near the front of the range extender.
- Check the Router Link (1) and Device Link (2) indicators on the front of the range extender:
Router Link Indicator (1) - Green Router Link
- The range extender has an optimal connection to your router.
- Amber Router Link
- The range extender has a good connection to your router.
- Red Router Link
- The range extender has a weak connection to your router. It should be placed closer to your router.
- Router Link Off
- The range extender does not have a connection to your router.
- Device Link Indicator (2)
- Green Device Link
- The range extender has an optimal connection to your device.
- Amber Device Link
- The range extender has a good connection to your device.
- Red Device Link
- The range extender has a weak connection to your device. It should be placed closer to your range extender.
- Device Link Off
- The range extender does not have a connection to any devices.
On Your Computer
- Launch the browser that you use to go online.
- Navigate to the following address: http://www.mywifiext.net
- Enter the password when requested.
- The Network Map tab will display the range extender's connection to the router and connection to your devices.
