How to Check Your Google Account History

1. Introduction: Google: View Account History

Google stores and keeps track of things you do, search for, and install across all platforms to help improve your experience. You can view and manage your activity though your Google account.

This guide will show you how to check your Google account activity.

2. Google Account: Navigate to Site

  1. Navigate to https://myactivity.google.com/myactivity in a web browser.
  2. If prompted, Sign In 
  3. Click the Sign In button.

  1. Type in your email address and click Next.

  1. If you have 2 Step Verification, you will be prompted to follow additional instructions.

  1. Verify you are signed into the correct account by looking at at the profile icon located in the top right hand corner of the screen.

3. Google Account: View Activity

You can choose between Bundle ViewItem View, or Other Google activity by clicking on your preferred view in the navigation pane.

Bundle View will group items by category and show you the latest in each.  You may click on any grouping to view other items in the group.

Item View shows all items ordered by chronological order. These items are not grouped up by category.

Other Google Activity

Other Google Activity has some additional activity that you can view.  This section includes additional activity and preference settings not displayed on the main page.

4. Google Account: Delete Activity

If you wish to remove your Google account activity, there are a couple ways this can be done.

Delete a specific entry

  1. Click the menu icon to the right of that item you wish to delete.

Delete by date range and product type

  1. Click on Delete activity by.

  1. Choose a date or select a date range.

  1. Choose the product you would like to delete data for.

5. Google Account: Manage Activity

  1. Click on Activity Controls.

  1. Here you can toggle items on or off for each category that Google can track.

6. Google Account: Sign Out

  1. Click the profile icon in the top right of the page.

  1. Click Sign Out.

  1. Click the Sign In button.
