How to Connect a Sonos One Wireless Speaker to WiFi

1. Introduction

While setting up your Sonos Speakers initially is pretty easy, the thought of switching networks with them can be pretty daunting since there are more menus to go through. If you replaced a broken router, upgraded to a new one, or just had an issue with your internet that caused your Sonos to lose connection, you'll need to access those menus to reconnect your Sonos speakers to your network.

Luckily, we can easily help you find your way through the Sonos Controller App and get your tunes playing on your network again.

Tools You'll Need:

  • A paperclip
  • iPhone charging cable
  • Access to a computer with iTunes installed
  • Any other non-consumable tools needed
  • Comment out tools section if no tools are necessary

  • You must have access to a computer with iTunes installed.

2. Connect to Your Home Network

  1. If you have more than one Sonos device in your system you will need to temporarily connect a speaker to your router with an Ethernet cable.
  2. Open the Sonos Controller App.

  1. Tap Wireless Setup.

  1. You'll then be walked through the Wireless Setup Wizard again. Select Next for instructions on how to proceed.

  1. You will be asked to connect your mobile device to a temporary network called SONOS in order to proceed with the setup process.

  1. Open your Wi-Fi settings, and select the Sonos network.
  2. Select Settings.

  1. The Sonos system is now connected to your home network.
  2. You can now unplug the Ethernet cable if you have plugged one in.
