2. Pair with Apple HomeKit

You'll need to take your mobile device where your ecobee smart thermostat is installed to complete the pairing with HomeKit.

On Your Mobile Device

1. Launch the ecobee app.
   

1. Go to the Menu in the top left.
   

1. Select Setup Homekit.
   

1. Tap Get started.
   

1. If you don't have a home set up in HomeKit yet, you will be asked to create one. Enter a name for your home then tap Done.
   

1. Select the right home for your location, if you have more homes listed, then tap Next.
   

On Your Thermostat

7. The HomeKit code will show up on the ecobee thermostat's screen.
   

On Your Mobile Device

8. Use the camera to scan the HomeKit code showing up on the thermostat's screen.
   

8. If you can't scan the code tap Enter Code Manually and type it in.
   

8. Tap OK on the successful pairing confirmation prompt.
   

8. Your ecobee thermostat is now paired to HomeKit. Tap Done on the congratulatory screen.
