Alexa is a virtual assistant included in the C by GE Sol lamp, the Amazon Echo and other third party devices, and phones or tablets running the Alexa app.

Before You Begin:

Your C by GE lights must be already linked with Alexa

2. Control C by GE Smart Lights with Alexa

You must speak to your Alexa-enabled device to control your C by GE lights.

When addressing your lights, you can say “lights”, the name of the room / group your lights are in, or the name you assigned your lights. You can choose alternate words for the same voice command: set / turn / make / switch / change / activate / deactivate.

Turn the Lights On / Off

  • "Alexa, lights on / off."
  • "Alexa, turn lights on / off."
  • "Alexa, turn <light name> on / off."
  • "Alexa, turn <group name> on / off."

Brighten / Dim the Lights

  • "Alexa, make lights brighter / dimmer."
  • "Alexa, brighten / dim lights."
  • "Alexa, brighten / dim lights by <0% - 100%>."
  • "Alexa, brighten / dim lights to <0% - 100%>."
  • "Alexa, turn up / down lights to <0% - 100%>."
  • "Alexa, set lights to <0% - 100%>."

Set Light Color or Shade of White
