1. Introduction: Ring Camera: Factory Reset

If your Ring Camera is not working as intended and you've exhausted all other possible repair steps or you want to give it to someone else, you can reset it to factory defaults.

2. Ring Camera: Factory Reset: Spotlight/Floodlight

Resetting the device to factory defaults will erase all saved settings and preferences.

To factory reset your Ring Camera:

1. Make sure the camera is powered up.

   Or the battery is charged.
   

1. Locate the reset button atop the camera.
   

1. Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds.
2. After releasing it, the status light located at the bottom will flash a few times indicating the camera is restarting.
