1. Introduction: Sony Blu-ray Player: Factory Reset

If your Sony Blu-ray player is not working as intended and you've exhausted all other possible repair steps, or you want to give it to someone else, you can reset it to factory defaults.

2. Sony Blu-ray Player: Factory Reset

Resetting the device to factory defaults will erase all saved settings, preferences and user stored data.

1. Eject any disc from the tray and ensure playback is stopped.
2. Press the Home button on the remote.
3. Using the left or right arrow go to Setup. Then using the up or down arrow go to Resetting.
   

1. Select Reset to Factory Default Settings and press Enter.
   

1. If you wish to erase your personal data as well, then select Initialize Personal Information and press Enter.
   

1. Once the system is reset, it will be ready to setup again.
