How to Fix Apps on a LeapFrog Epic Tablet

1. Introduction

Sometimes you may experience issues with certain apps on your LeapFrog device. This may be because the app itself is having some sort of issue, or this could be due to your LeapFrog device experiencing problems that are causing the app to misbehave. This guide will take you through common ways to resolve issues with apps on your LeapFrog device.

2. Restart

  1. Hold down the power button on your LeapFrog device.

  1. A prompt will appear on-screen. Select Restart.
  2. If necessary, select OK.

3. Uninstall an App

  1. Go to the Parent Settings menu by tapping the icon of a parent and child:

  1. Enter your four digit Parent Lock code at the prompt to enter Parent Settings.
  2. From the main Parent Settings screen, tap on App Manager:

  1. When you open the App Manager, you will be on the Installed tab:

  1. To uninstall an app, tap it once, then tap Uninstall:

Pre-installed system apps cannot be deleted.

4. Install an App

  1. Go to the Parent Settings menu by tapping the icon of a parent and child.

  1. You will be prompted to enter your 4 digit Parent Lock code to access Parent Mode. Enter your code.
  2. From the main Parent Settings screen, tap on App Manager:

  1. When you open the App Manager, you will be on the Installed tab:

  1. Tap the Not Installed tab. Apps that have not yet been installed as well as those which have been uninstalled, will be available to install again on the Not Installed tab within the App Manager. Tap Install to install any apps from this tab:

5. System Update

  1. Go to the Parent Settings menu by tapping the icon of a parent and child:

  1. After entering your four digit Parent Lock code at the prompt, you will be brought to the Parent Settings menu. Tap the System Info icon:

  1. Tap on System Updates:

  1. If there is a pending system update available, it will download and install now. Once completed, the system will reboot itself.
