Introduction

As with any electronic device that has a complex operating system, your iOS device can be prone to having some issues with its installed Apps. This guide will help assist you with resolving issues on those Apps for your iOS device.

Make sure to test your iOS device after performing each one of these steps. Any one of these steps may individually resolve your issue altogether. If you feel like a particular step has resolved your issue, feel free to skip to the end of this guide.

1 Restart

  1. Hold down the lock/power button.
  2. Slide to power off when prompted.
  3. Wait until the phone is off.
  4. Hold down the lock/power button until you see the Apple logo.

Powering off an iPhone.

  1. Hold down the lock/power button.
  2. Slide to power off when prompted.
  3. Wait until the phone is off.
  4. Hold down the lock/power button until you see the Apple logo.
The next steps will guide you through reinstalling the app you are having issues with. We'll start by uninstalling the app and then reinstall it from the Apple App Store.
  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Select General.

  3. Tap on your device's Storage.
  4. The amount of storage used will be shown near the top. Below that you may see a list of recommendations for optimizing your device's storage, followed by a list of installed apps and the amount of storage each one uses.

  5. Tap on the app that you wish to remove.
  6. Tap the Delete App button on the next screen. Accept any prompts.
  7. Go back to the previous screen and repeat for as many apps you wish to remove.
  1. From the main screen, open the App Store.

  2. At the bottom of the screen, tap on Search.

  3. Type name of the desired app on the search bar at the top.
  4. Tap Search to start the search.

  5. Tap the App to see its download options.
  6. Next, tap the button:
    • GET if the app is free.
    • PRICE if it is a paid app.
  7. Tap OPEN once the app is installed.

There are iOS Apps issues that may require an iOS update as part of the resolution. To do this:

  1. Go to the Settings menu.
  2. Tap General.
  3. Tap Software Update to see if there is an update available.
  4. Then tap Download and Install.
  5. To update now, tap Install. Or you can tap Later and choose Install Tonight or Remind Me Later. If you tap Install Tonight, just plug your iOS device into power before you go to sleep. Your device will update automatically overnight.
  6. If asked, enter your passcode.
