How to Fix Audio Sync on a LG Smart TV

1. Introduction

When using an external audio device, such as a home theater system or soundbar, the audio playing can become out-of-sync, creating a distracting effect.

2. Adjust Audio Sync

LG TVs can come equipped with one of two versions of operating software. They are commonly referred to as Netcast and webOS. webOS is on most smart televisions made after 2014, while Netcast is more common on older smart televisions and non-smart televisions.
Both versions of the software are covered here. You should be able to identify whether your TV has Netcast or webOS based on the screenshots provided.

  1. Push the Home button on your remote.

  2. Select AV Sync Adjust.
  3. Select On.
  4. Adjust the External Speaker slider to the left or right, to help better sync up the audio to the video you are watching.

  1. Push the Home button on your remote.
