Before We Begin:
- Have your Smartphone or Tablet at hand
- Have the Lifx App installed
2. Power Cycle Blub
- Turn off the power going to your light.
- Wait 30 seconds.
- Turn on the power going to your light.
- Your Lifx bulb will turn on to an incandescent white color.
- Wait 30 seconds for your bulb to re-connect to WiFi.
Leave the light switch for your Lifx lights on at all times. Control turning your light Lifx lights on and off using the Lifx App.
3. Test Light
- Open the Lifx app on your device.
- Select the light you're working with.
- Try adjusting the color and brightness of your light. Try turning your light on and off.
4. Light Type
Lifx produces a range of different lights. In order to help you directly with your specific device, please choose which one you have.
Lifx Color 1000 A19
Lifx Color 1000 BR30
Lifx Z Light Strip, Tile, or Beam

5. Factory Reset
- Make sure your light is lit.Turn the power off, then on again if the light is not lit.
- Turn the power off then on again five times.
- Wait a few seconds.
- Your light will turn red, then green, then blue, then back to white to indicate it is reset.
6. Add Light
- Open Lifx.
- Select the Plus in the top-right corner.
- Select Connect Light.
- Lifx will then begin scanning for your lights immediately.
- Once found, follow the instructions in the app to complete setting up your Lifx bulb.
7. Test Light
- Open the Lifx app on your device.
- Select the light you're working with.
- Try adjusting the color and brightness of your light. Try turning your light on and off.

- Make sure your light strip is lit.Turn the power off, then on again if the light strip is not lit.
- Push and hold the reset switch on the side of the control box for ten to fifteen seconds.
- Your light strip will turn red, then green, then blue, then back to white to indicate it is reset.

- Make sure your light is lit.Turn the power off, then on again if the light is not lit.
- Turn the power off then on again five times.
- Wait a few seconds.
- Your light will turn dim warm white, then medium warm white, then bright cool white to indicate it is reset.
11. Factory Reset
- Turn off the power going to your light.
- Locate the small reset switch on the side of the bulb.
- If the switch is up, flip it down.
If the switch is down, flip it up. - Turn on the power going to your light.
- Your light will turn red, then green, then blue, then back to white to indicate it is reset.
