How to Fix Bluetooth on Heyday Wireless Earbuds

1. Introduction

This guide covers some easy troubleshooting steps to resolve Bluetooth issues that may arise with the Heyday Wireless Earbuds.

2. Charging

  1. Open the USB port on the side of the controls on the right earbud.

  1. Connect your headset to your computer or USB adapter.
  2. The Indicator light will go out when your headset is done charging.

Your headset will take about one to two hours to charge.

3. Range Check

The device needs to be within a reasonable range in order to connect.

  • In general, to pair and use a Bluetooth device (like a speaker, headset or smartwatch), the device needs to be within 10 feet of your computer or other device.
  • Some medium and higher-power devices can be farther, up to about 30 feet, but this tends to be for larger devices that plug in or have very large batteries, such as another computer, media streaming device, or a plug-in speaker system.

Try moving the Bluetooth device closer if you have trouble.

4. Power Cycle Earbuds

  1. Push and hold the Phone button on the remote.

  1. You should hear descending tones in the headset.
  2. Wait 10 seconds.
  3. Push the phone button for one to two seconds to power the headset back on.

5. Sending Device Choice

For the next step, we'll need to know what type of device you're using to send Bluetooth audio from.

6. OS Choice

There are 2 main Operating Systems for personal computers currently available, Windows and macOS.

Windows

Windows runs on computers produced by multiple companies, such as Lenovo, Asus, Dell, Toshiba, Hewlett Packard, Acer, and Sony.

macOS

Apple is the only company that makes macOS computers.

7. Pairing Mode

  1. Disconnect your headset from the charging cable, if it was connected.
  2. Push and hold the Phone button on the remote.

The device name of your headset should be HEYDAY EARBUD 01 or HEYDAY EARBUD 02.

8. Pair Bluetooth Device (Windows 10)

  1. Click the Action Center icon in the bottom right corner of the screen.

  1. Tap on the All Settings tile after that.

  1. Then go to Devices.

  1. Select Bluetooth from the left-hand column and ensure the Bluetooth switch is in the On position to the right. Your Windows 10 device will become discoverable and start searching for devices.

  1. Once you see the device you want to pair the system with, select it then tap on Pair.

  1. After the pairing was successful the device will show the Paired status under its name.

11. Pair Bluetooth Device (macOS)

  1. On the menu bar, click the Apple menu (1), then System Preferences (2).

  1. Select Bluetooth.

  1. Ensure that it says Bluetooth: On. Turn it on with the button if it isn't.

  1. Your computer will search for any Bluetooth devices in range.
  2. Once your device is located, click Pair.

  1. Once the pairing process is complete, your Mac will automatically connect to the device whenever it is in range.

To continue, we need to know what Operating System your smartphone or tablet has.

  1. Disconnect your headset from the charging cable, if it was connected.
  2. Push and hold the Phone button on the remote.

14. Pair Bluetooth Device (iOS)

Depending on what device (iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch) and which generation you have, the menu theme and options might look slightly different on your screen. However, the steps should be the same across all iOS devices and generations.

  1. Open Settings on your phone or tablet.

  1. Make sure that the Bluetooth feature is enabled by flipping the On / Off switch to the green position then wait for the Bluetooth device to show up in the list.
