1. Introduction

The Yuneec Typhoon 4K drone and its components have a unique firmware updating process. Each component of the drone (the drone itself, the camera, and the remote control) must all be updated separately. At this time there are no known issues that would cause your drone to fail to apply a firmware update, but this guide will demonstrate how to prepare your drone properly to apply a firmware update successfully.

Tools You'll Need:

  • Your Typhoon's connection cable.

Supplies You'll Need:

  • Zip ties
  • Any other consumable supplies
  • Comment out supplies section if no supplies are necessary

2. Properly Prepare Your Drone to Update Firmware

  1. Locate the receiver inside the body of the drone and gently pull it out.
