How to Fix Firmware Update Issues Norton Core Router

1. Introduction
Updates are taken care of automatically on the Norton Core Router. As long as the router is properly connected to the internet, the device will take care of the rest.
This guide will take you though steps to troubleshoot firmware update issues.
2. Power cycle your Home Network
To Power Cycle Your Modem and Router:
Remove the power cable from both your modem and router.
Verify all lights are off on the modem and router.
Wait 10 seconds.
Plug in the power to your modem only.
Wait for the Online light to turn on stop flashing on your modem.This can take up to three minutes.
Plug in the power to your router.
Wait for the Online light to turn on stop flashing on your router.This can take five minutes or more.
3. Force an Update
To check if you have a new firmware update available, please follow the below procedure:
On the top-left corner of your Norton Core App, tap the menu icon.
Tap Settings.
Scroll down the Settings menu and tap About.
Under Firmware Version, tap Update Available. (If your firmware is current it will say Up to date.)
You may be prompted to reset the Norton Core router to update the firmware.
In the confirmation screen, tap Yes. Follow the on-screen instructions.
After the firmware update is complete, you will be prompted to sign in with your Norton account credentials.
4. Factory Reset
Norton Core does not erase your personal data on the cloud when doing a factory reset.
Power on the Norton Core Router.
Press and hold the Reset button for ten seconds underneath the device.
Wait for 1 minute while the device blinks rapidly.
The light changes to a slow blinking light to confirm the reset is successful.
