The Xbox One console allows you to record game clips and screenshots of the games you love playing and share with all your social networks. If you're having issues with the Game DVR feature, this guide will provide some troubleshooting steps that may resolve them.
Here are some tips before getting into any troubleshooting:
Some games disable recording capability by default and don't allow taking clips.
Clip length may vary based on a few different reasons:
Time spent outside games, like backing out to the menu, is removed from clips.
Publishers may disable the recording of certain game segments to prevent game spoilers, showing other players in the game seen through their Kinect, etc.
Clips with higher resolution or with significant graphic intensity or action may be shorter, as duration is sacrificed to maintain a high-quality recording.
