1 OS Choice

To continue, we need to know what Operating System your smartphone or tablet has.

There are 2 main Operating Systems for smartphones currently available, Android and iOS.

Android Smartphone iOS Smartphone
Android smartphones are produced by multiple companies, such as Samsung, LG, Motorola, HTC, and OnePlus. Apple is the only company that makes iOS smartphones.

  1. Swipe down on your screen (or up, if using a tablet) to access the menu.
  2. Hold down on the Bluetooth icon to bring up Bluetooth options.

  3. Ensure the Bluetooth switch is set to ON.

  1. Tap on the App Drawer button.

    The App Drawer may be located on either the bottom left or bottom right as either an onscreen button or a physical button. If you're unsure which button it is, please refer to the user manual of your android device.

  2. Either tap the X or swipe to close an app.

  1. Hold down the power button on your Android device.

    Depending on the manufacturer and model of Android device you have, the location of the power button will vary.

  2. A prompt will appear on-screen. Select Restart.

If the menu does not pop up, continue to hold the power button, and your Android device will shut off.
  • If you had to shut down your Android device, wait 30 seconds before turning your device back on.

  1. Turn off the main power, or unplug the lamp that your smart bulb is plugged into.

  3. Turn the power back on, or plug the lamp back in.

  4. Wait one minute for the smart bulb to reconnect to the network.

To reset your ilumi smart bulb, do the following:

  1. Slowly turn the main power to the smart bulb off and on five times in a row. Leave the switch in the off position for about one second, then turn it back on. As soon as light comes on, turn it off immediately again, then repeat.

  2. If the smart bulb was reset, it will cycle through a series of colors: red, green, blue, then white.

    If the reset is unsuccessful, you may need to try again.

  1. Launch the ilumi app on your mobile device.

  2. You will be prompted that a reset ilumi smart light was found. Tap Restore to reconnect to it.

  1. Unplug the smart strip from the power outlet.

  3. Plug the smart strip back into the power outlet.
    Plug into outlet.
  4. Wait one minute for the smart strip to reconnect.

To reset your ilumi smart strip, do the following:

  1. Unplug the smart strip from the power outlet and plug it back in four times in a row. Leave it unplugged for about one second, then plug it back in. As soon as light comes on, unplug it immediately again, then repeat.

  2. The strip should illuminate with a green color and then a combination of white and green.
  3. Once it comes to white/green, unplug and plug the strip back in one more time.
  4. If the smart strip was reset, it will cycle through a series of colors: red, green, blue, then white.

    If the reset is unsuccessful, you may need to try again.

  1. Launch the ilumi app on your mobile device.

  2. You will be prompted that a reset ilumi smart light was found. Tap Restore to reconnect to it.

  1. Open Settings on your phone or tablet.

  2. Then tap Bluetooth.

  3. Make sure Bluetooth is set to On.

  1. Double press the Home button rapidly.

  2. You will now see a list of apps that are currently open. Swipe up on any of the apps to close them.

Powering off an iPhone.

  1. Hold down the lock/power button.
  2. Slide to power off when prompted.
  3. Wait until the phone is off.
  4. Hold down the lock/power button until you see the Apple logo.
