One of the main causes with the inability to get on the Internet is that your networking equipment could have malfunctioned. Sometimes performing a reboot will resolve this issue.
Your network may consist of one or more of the following networking devices:

Next we will want to power cycle the networking devices.
Modem / Gateway
- Unplug the power from the device.
- Wait 30 seconds.
- Plug the power back into the device.
- Wait for the device to go online.
Router
- Unplug the power from the device.
- Wait 30 seconds.
- Plug the power back into the device.
- Wait for the device to go online.
Switch
- Unplug the power from the device.
- Wait 30 seconds.
- Plug the power back into the device.
Access Point / Range Extender
- Unplug the power from the device.
- Wait 30 seconds.
- Plug the power back into the device.
To test your Internet connection, follow these steps:
- Select Settings.
- Select Network Settings.
- Select Internet Connection Test.
- If the test did not pass and you need help reconnecting follow this guide.
Connecting your PS3 to your network.

- Go to Settings and select Network Settings.
- Select Internet Connection Settings.
- Select Ok.
- Select Easy.
- Select Wireless.
- Select Scan.
- Select your network from the list.
Take note of the Security listed on this screen. We will need this in a moment.
- Hit the right button on the D-Pad to confirm your selected network.
- Select the type of security your network uses. Most common is WPA-PSK / WPA2-PSK
- Unless you're on an unsecured network (not recommended) hit X to enter in your Security Key
- Enter your security key and select Enter when done.
- Press the right button on your D-Pad to confirm your security key.
- Hit the X button on your controller to confirm settings.
Reset your password by sending yourself a password reset email from Netflix.
- Navigate to https://www.netflix.com/LoginHelp.
- Type the email tied to your Netflix account and choose how to reset your password.
- Selecting email will send you an email with a link to resetting your password.
- Selecting text message will send you a verification code through your cell phone.
- Selecting voice call will call your selected number with the verification code needed to reset your password.
- Sign in to https://www.netflix.com/ on a computer or mobile browser.
- If prompted, select your profile picture.
- Visit the Account section of the Netflix website.
- Under My Profile, select Language.
- Select your preferred language.
- If your preferred language is already selected, select English and sign out, then repeat the steps above.
- Return to the device experiencing the issue and sign out and sign back in to save this setting.
- Changing the language for your profile will also change the subtitle and dubbing options you see, putting your preferred language first on available titles.
- Navigate to Netflix.
- Press the Triangle button on the PlayStation controller.
- Select Delete.
- Select Yes.
Games installed from the PlayStation Store will require approximately twice the space to install than listed. This is to allow the game to download and then extract to your hard drive. Once the game is installed the downloaded file is then removed.
- Go to PlayStation Network. You should see the Netflix App ready to be downloaded. Select Netflix.
- Let Netflix download.
- Once Netflix is installed, you may launch the app and then sign in.
