The SmartGlass app for mobile devices can assist you in being able to interact with and control your Xbox360 gaming console. If your mobile device is struggling with the SmartGlass app, this guide will take you through the process of troubleshooting and configuring the app to get it functioning properly.

The SmartGlass app for mobile devices can assist you in being able to interact with and control your Xbox360 gaming console. If your mobile device is struggling with the SmartGlass app, this guide will take you through the process of troubleshooting and configuring the app to get it functioning properly.


To ensure that we configure everything properly, we will completely remove the SmartGlass app from your mobile device and reconfigure everything from the ground up.
To remove the Xbox app from iOS devices:
- From your main screen, locate the Xbox app.
- Lightly touch and hold the app until it jiggles or vibrates.
- Tap X in the upper-left corner of the app.
- Tap Delete.
In order for your Xbox360 console to be able to see and communicate with your mobile device properly, it must be connected to your home network and configured properly.


- From Xbox Home, select Settings, and then System.
- Select Console Settings.
- Select Connected Devices.
- Under Xbox SmartGlass Apps, select On.
- Open the App Store on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
- Tap the Search icon and search for SmartGlass.
- Locate the Xbox SmartGlass app in the search results.
- Tap Install App and follow the instructions.
Make sure that you’re signed in to the SmartGlass app with your Microsoft account when you connect the SmartGlass app to your Xbox console. Additionally, make sure that the Microsoft account is the one that’s associated with your Xbox Live gamertag. If you don’t know the Microsoft account that’s associated with your Xbox Live account, reach out to Microsoft Xbox support for further assistance.


To use SmartGlass for Android, your device must have Android 4.0 (“Ice Cream Sandwich”) or later installed.
- Open Google Play on your Android device.
- Tap the Search icon and search for SmartGlass.
- Follow the instructions to download and install the app on your Android.
