There are many Garmin fitness devices on the market such as the Vivofit or Vivosmart, but the one thing they all have in common is that they have the ability to interact directly with your personal computer via the Garmin Express software. This guide will take you through the process of getting the Garmin Express software installed on your Windows system.

The USB cable that came with your fitness tracker
Or the wireless ANT connector that came with your fitness tracker
Supplies You'll Need:
Zip ties
Any other consumable supplies
Comment out supplies section if no supplies are necessary

Before You Begin:
You must have access to a computer with iTunes installed.
You must have that thing for the other thing so you can do the thing.
Check that you have read the terms and conditions and click Install.
Click Yes on the User Account Control page.
Garmin Express will begin installing.
3. Prepare Computer Connection for Your Garmin
The next step is connecting your fitness tracker to your computer so that it can communicate with the Garmin Express software. Your fitness tracker will have come packaged with a USB connection cable, or an ANT wireless adapter. Both the cable and ANT adapter connect via USB to your computer. Making this connection is fairly straightforward.
To Connect With a USB Cable
Plug the USB cable supplied with your Garmin into any USB port on your computer.
Align the charger with the device and clip it securely. Your particular device may connect differently.
Your Garmin is now ready to be setup with your Garmin Express software.
       
To Connect Using the Wireless ANT Adapter
Find the ANT adapter in your Garmin's packaging and insert it into any available USB port on your computer.
Press and hold the button on your Garmin until you see PAIR on the device screen, then release the button.
Your device is now ready to communicate with your computer.
