Introduction
1 Install OBS Studio for macOS
- Open your preferred browser, and visit the OBS Studio homepage.

- Open Broadcaster Software (External)
- On the OBS page, select the button for macOS to download the latest version.
- Once downloaded, open the package.
- In most cases, security preferences will prevent you from installing the package from the web. Select OK.
- Select the Apple menu, and select System Preferences.
- In System Preferences, select Security & Privacy.
- On the General tab, at the bottom, your Mac will remember you just tried to open the OBS installer. Select Open Anyway.
- Your Mac will ask if you are sure, select Open.
- The Installer Welcome screen will open, select Continue.
- For the Destination, select your primary mac drive, and select Continue.
- The installer will tell you how much space is needed. Select Install.
- Your Mac will ask permission to install the software. Enter your Mac password and select Install Software.
- Once complete, select Close.
- With OBS installed, we don't need the installer any longer. Select Move to Trash.
Opening OBS
OBS installs to your Applications folder.
- Select Finder. From the menu at top, select Go, then Applications.
- Double-Click OBS.
