How to Install the Bosch Home Connect App

1. Introduction

• Have your smartphone or tablet available

Additionally, If You're Setting Up Your Smart Home Appliance:

• Be near your Bosch 800-Series Dishwasher
• Have your home Wi-Fi network name and password

2. OS Choice

To continue, we need to know what Operating System your smartphone or tablet has.

There are 2 main Operating Systems for smartphones currently available, Android and iOS.

3. Install (Android)

1. Launch the Play Store on your smartphone.
   

1. Select the search bar at the top.
   

1. Type in "Home Connect (America)", then select Home Connect (America) from the list.
   

1. Select Install.
   

4. Register Account

In Home Connect App

1. Open Home Connect.
   

1. Select Register.
   

1. Enter your Name, and make sure United States is selected for your Country. Enter your Email address twice, then create a password for your Bosch account. Finally, select Continue.
   

1. Carefully read the Terms of Use. Once you have read, understood, and agree, place a check mark to indicate you agree, then select Continue.
   

1. Carefully read the Privacy Policy. Once you have read, understood, and agree, place a check mark to indicate you agree, then select Continue.
   

1. Confirm your information is correct, then select Send.
   

1. You'll be asked to confirm your email address by checking your email and selecting a link.
   

In Email

1. Open your preferred Email program.
2. Look for an email from Home Connect and open it.
3. In the email, select the link to confirm your email address.
   

1. A website will open, letting you know your registration was successful.
   

In Home Connect App

1. Return to the Home Connect app.
   

1. Select Login.
   

1. Enter your email address and your Bosch account password, then select Login.
2. You may also wish to check Stay logged in, so you don't have to log in each time you open the app.

5. Connect with Home Connect

On Your Smartphone

1. Open Home Connect.
   

1. If necessary, sign in to your Bosch account.
   
2. You may also wish to check Stay logged in, so you don't have to log in each time you open the app.

1. Select Add appliance.
   

1. A reminder to have this guide or the printed one, your home Wi-Fi network name and password, and be near your installed and functional dishwasher before continuing. Once you have this information and are next to your dishwasher, select Continue.
   

1. This guide will focus on the Step by step method. Under Step by step, select Start.
   

On Your Dishwasher

1. Open your dishwasher, and on the control panel, push and hold Info/Setup for three seconds.
   

1. Use the Left < and Right > buttons to scroll till the display says Wi-Fi off.
   

1. Press Plus + to turn Wi-Fi on.
   

1. Use the Left < and Right > buttons to scroll till the display says Network login.
   

1. Press Minus - for manual login.
   

1. The display will read "Connect your mobile unit to the Home Connect Network".
   

6. Connect to Home Connect Network

Depending on your exact device (Smartphone or Tablet), and which generation you have, the menu theme and options might look slightly different on your screen. However, the steps should be similar across all Android devices and generations.

1. Open Settings.
   

1. Select Wi-Fi.
   

1. Select the Home Connect network from the list.

2. If you are asked for a password, enter "HomeConnect".

7. Complete Setup

On Your Smartphone

1. Return to the Home Connect app.
   

1. The app will recognize your connection. Select your Home Wi-Fi connection name and enter your Home Wi-Fi password, then select Transmit to appliance.

On Your Dishwasher

1. The display shows Network connection successful.
   

1. After a few moments, you'll be asked to confirm connecting to the app. Press Plus +.
   

On Your Smartphone

1. Select Connect appliance.
2. Follow the instructions to confirm and complete connecting your Dishwasher to the Home Connect app.

8. Install (iOS)

1. Open the App Store.
   

1. Select Search in the bottom right corner.
   

1. Type in "Home Connect America", and select Get next to Home Connect from the list.
   

1. Select Get for Home Connect (America).
   

9. Register Account

In Home Connect App

1. Open Home Connect.
   

1. Select Register.
