How to Install the Yamaha AV Controller App

The AV Controller app turns your mobile device into a Wi-Fi enabled remote control for your Yamaha Blu-ray Player. This guide will show you how to install the app onto your mobile device.

Before you begin, ensure you have a mobile device with an active internet connection.

1. Launch the Play Store app on your Android device.
   
2. Search for "av controller" in the search box. Select the AV Controller app from the list of results.
   
3. Tap on Install. Once installed, tap Open to launch the app immediately if you wish.

2. Home - Displays home menu screen
3. Arrows - Move the focus in the menu screen
   Enter - Selects the focused menu / item
4. Return - Returns to the previous menu or screen

You need to make sure the Blu-ray Player is configured to be controlled over the network:

1. Press the Setup button on the remote control.
   
2. From the Setup menu screen go to General Setting, then Network.
   
3. Go down until you find Network Control and make sure it is set to On.
4. If you wish to be able to turn on the player from the mobile device as well, then set the Network Standby to On.
5. Once these settings are set and the AV Controller app is installed onto your mobile device, the player will automatically show up in the app when you launch it.

3. Search for "av controller" in the search box at the top. Select the AV Controller app from the list of results.
   
4. Tap on Get, then on Install. Once installed, tap Open to launch the app immediately if you wish.
