Spotify gives you the ability to curate a personal playlist made up of your favorite songs. If you wish to download individual songs, you must first put them onto this playlist and then download the playlist.
Add to Your Library
- Open Spotify.
- Select Browse or Search at the bottom, and locate the songs you'd like to download.
- When you see a song you want to download for later, select the Menu on the right.
- Then, select Save.
- You will be notified the song is added to Your Library.
- Repeat these steps for any other songs you want to keep.
Download Your Song Library
- Open Spotify.
- Select Your Library at the bottom.
- Select Songs.
- At the top, turn the toggle switch On to download all the songs in Your Library.
- Spotify will download the songs you've put into Your Library, so they can be played when you are away from the Internet, or don't want to use your mobile data.
- Open Spotify.
- Select Your Library at the bottom.
- Select Playlists, Songs, Albums, Artists, or Podcasts to see items you've added to your library.
- Look for the Green arrow; these items are downloaded to your device, and can be played offline. Select an item to start playing it.
Download A Playlist Outside Your Library
- Open Spotify.
- Select Browse or Search at the bottom, and locate the playlist you'd like to download.
- Set the Download songs toggle switch to On for the playlist.
- Repeat these steps for any other playlists you want to keep.

- Open Spotify.
- Select Your Library at the bottom.
- Select Playlists.
- Select the playlist you want to download.
- At the top, set the Download toggle switch to On for the playlist.
- Repeat these steps for any other playlists you'd like to download.
Download An Album Outside Your Library
- Open Spotify.
- Select Browse or Search at the bottom, and locate the album you'd like to download.
- Set the Download toggle switch to On for the album.
- The album will now have a Saved banner at the top, indicated it is saved to your device.
- Repeat these steps for any other playlists you want to keep.
Download An Album Inside Your Library
Download A Playlist In Your Library
- Open Spotify.
- Select Your Library at the bottom.
- Select Albums.
- Select the album you want to download.
- At the top, set the Download toggle switch to On for the album.
- Select Save Full Album.
- Repeat these steps for any other albums you'd like to download.
Removing music doesn't delete it forever. You can still play any music you remove.
Spotify will simply stream it to your device, rather than having it stored on your device, taking up space.
- Open Spotify.
- Select Your Library at the bottom.
- Select Songs.
- Select the Menu to the right of the song you want to remove from your device.
- Select Remove.
Remove A Single Song From A Playlist
- Open Spotify.
- Select Your Library at the bottom.
- Select Playlists.
- Select the Playlist you wish to edit.
- Select the Menu at the top right.
- Select Edit.
- Select the red minus sign to the left of the song you wish to remove from the playlist.
- Select the Delete button to confirm.
Remove An Entire Playlist From Downloads
- Open Spotify.
- Select Your Library at the bottom.
- Select Playlists.
- Select the Playlist you wish to remove from your device.
- Set the toggle switch for Downloaded to Off.
Delete An Entire Playlist
- Open Spotify.
- Select Your Library at the bottom.
- Select Playlists.
- Select the Playlist you wish to delete.
- Select the Menu at the top right.
- Select Delete playlist.
- Open Spotify.
- Select Your Library at the bottom.
- Select Albums.
- Select Remove.
