How to Manage User Profiles on an Xbox 360

1. Introduction

Once you've got your Xbox 360 plugged in and running, your next step is to create a user profile. This will allow you to save your preferences, participate in Xbox Live, store saved game data to the cloud, and more.

2. Create Profile

1. Navigate to the Social Tab.
2. Select Sign In or Out.

2. Select Create Profile.

2. Enter a Profile Name.

2. Choose an Avatar.

2. You can choose your Avatar's features.

2. Use your new Profile to log into Xbox Live.

3. Change Gamertag and Pic

1. Navigate to the Social Tab.
2. Select Sign In or Out.

2. Select your Profile.

2. Navigate to Settings.
3. Select Profile.

2. Select Edit Profile.

2. Select Gamertag or Gamer Picture if you want to change your picture.

2. Select Enter New Gamertag.

2. Type in your new Gamertag and select Done.

2. After you enter or select a new gamertag, select Yes, use this gamertag.
   

4. Kinect Sign In

1. After you create your profile, you'll be prompted to either Sign me in with Kinect or Sign in manually. To sign in automatically, select Sign me in with Kinect.

2. Kinect sensor will record your biometrics, such as your facial features and body shape. If there's more than one person in the camera's view, raise your hand to identify yourself.
3. You can also choose "Sign in manually" if you don't want to use the Kinect.
