How to Pair HD Camera to Cox Homelife Automation Hub

1. Introduction

This guide will show you how to pair Cox homelife app to HD camera

2. Pairing HD camera to Cox automation hub

Complete the below steps to assist the customer with pairing the HD camera to the Automation hub

1. Ask the customer to ensure the camera body is secured to the adjustable camera mount

2. Complete the following using the black ethernet cable

• Ask the customer to connect one side to the back of the camera body

• Ask the customer to connect the other side to the black ethernet power cable

3. Connect the power cord to the adapter cable and connect to a power outlet 

4.  Ask the customer if the router has a WPS button 

• If yes, then ask the customer to press the WPS button on both the home router and camera

• If no, then ask the customer to connect the camera to the router using the white pairing Y cable   

Result: The cameras are ready to pair when both green lights on the front of the camera are on and blinking 

The Cox Homelife app completes the pairing

5. In the mobile app, does the paired camera display on the Manage Devices screen

• If yes, then ask the customer to tap Edit to customize the device name. Example: Living Room

• If no, then complete the following

        a. From the Home Devices menu, tap Cameras, and delete camera from the app

        b. Return to step 1 to pair the camera.
