How to Program a Comcast Xfinity X1 Remote

1. Introduction

When you've got the Comcast Xfinity service, you'll be given their universal remote. This remote can be used with most of your entertainment devices like your TV Box, Television, or Receiver.

Tools You'll Need:

• A paperclip
• iPhone charging cable
• Access to a computer with iTunes installed
• Any other non-consumable tools needed
• Comment out tools section if no tools are necessary

2. How to Pair an X1 Remote to an Xfinity TV Box

Your Xfinity X1 Remote can only be paired with one TV Box at a time. If you wish to pair it with another box you'll need to repeat the pairing steps. 

1. Turn your television on.
   

1. Make sure it is on the right input for your TV Box.
   

1. On your remote, press and hold the Setup button.

2. If you don't have a setup button you can press and hold the Xfinity and Info(i) buttons together.

2. The LED at the top of the remote will change from red to green.

2. Press the Xfinity button.

2. A 3-digit code will appear on your television's screen. Using the remote, input the code.

Pairing your remote to your television or AVR unit will allow you to turn off your television and AVR, select inputs, and adjust the volume.

If You Have Your Manufacturer Code

1. Turn your television on.

2. The LED at the top of the remote will change from red to green.

2. Type in the code you found in the previous step using your remote's number pad. 
   

1. When your remote has been successfully paired, the LED at the top will flash green twice.
   

If You Don't Have Your Manufacturer Code
