If your Slingbox is not working as intended and you've exhausted all other possible repair steps or you want to give it to someone else, you can reset it to factory defaults. This guide will help you with that process.
2. Factory Reset
Performing a factory reset deletes all your existing settings and configuration and cannot be undone. Performing this action requires you to reconfigure the Slingbox again.
Locate the Reset button on the rear side of the Slingbox. The reset button on some boxes may be recessed and you will need to use a pin or straightened paper clip to press it.
With the Slingbox powered on, press and hold the reset button.
For Slingbox 350, 500, M1 and M2 models
Hold the reset button until the network light on the front panel flashes twice quickly.
For all other models
Hold the reset button until the Sling logo blinks.
The wait time varies between 10 to 60 seconds depending on model.
Release the reset button and let the Slingbox complete the reset process.
