How to Reset an Xfinity xFi Pod Wi-Fi Range Extender

1. Introduction

Your Comcast Xfinity xFi pods don't store much configuration long-term; rather it's saved on the main router itself. This guide will help you removing a Pod from your setup, so they're easy to return, sell, or give to someone else.

Before You Begin:

Your xFi router and xFi pods are setup and controlled using the Xfinity xFi app on your smartphone or tablet.

2. Remove xFi Pod

Resetting a xFi Pod is as simple as removing it via the xFi app.

  1. Open Xfinity xFi app and select Network at the bottom.

  1. Select the Pod you'd like to remove.

  1. Select Remove Pod.
  2. Unplug the Pod from the wall.

That's it!Your router saves information about the Pod, and sends it all the information about your network each time the Pod starts up. Once your router has forgotten the Pod, the Pod will lose everything about your network after you unplug it.
