Welcome to Norton's secure wireless network. Once you have your Norton account, the Norton Core app, and your broadband connection, you're ready to begin.
Before setting up Norton Core, you need:
A broadband internet connection
A valid Norton account
Norton Core app is installed on your iOS or Android device
Data connection and Bluetooth enabled on your mobile device (for initial setup only)

2. Select Mobile Device Platform
To continue, we need to know what Operating System your smartphone or tablet has.
There are 2 main Operating Systems for smartphones currently available, Android and iOS.
Android SmartphoneiOS SmartphoneAndroid smartphones are produced by multiple companies, such as Samsung, LG, Motorola, HTC, and OnePlus.Apple is the only company that makes iOS smartphones.
3. Enable Bluetooth
Open Settings.
Select Bluetooth.
Ensure that the Bluetooth toggle is in the On position.
4. Install iOS App
Open the App Store.
Type in "Norton Core" in the search bar.
Find Norton Core in the search results and tap on GET.
Tap on Install to start download.
5. Launch App
Launch the Norton Core app.
Select Set Up Norton Core.
Carefully read through the License Agreement and Terms of Use, the Norton Core Privacy Notice, and the OOKLA Privacy Policy by selecting each link. When you have finished, select Agree & Launch at the bottom.
We previously enabled Bluetooth. Select Okay, I Understand.
Your smartphone may ask permission to allow the Norton Core app to use location services. Allow this access.
A list of parts that came with your Norton Core router is displayed. Make sure you have each piece ready and available, then select Next.
Look at your current setup for Internet access. You will have either a modem and router as two separate devices, or a single device, often called a Wireless Gateway, that performs both tasks.
6. Router Replacement Setup
Select the Modem - Router picture, then select Next.
Disconnect the Ethernet cable going from your modem to your router from the back of your modem. Unplug your router. Then, select Next.
Disconnect only the power cable from your modem, and wait 30 seconds. Then select Next.
Plug the power back in for your modem, then select Next.
It is critically important to power-cycle your modem as the last two steps detailed. Your modem and Internet Service Provider 'remember' the last device, your old router, and won't 'switch over' to your new Norton Core router properly without being power cycled.
Wait for your modem to come online, then select Next.
Plug one end of the Ethernet cable to the back of your modem. Plug the other end into your Norton Core router, into the port labeled with the Blue Globe, then select Next.
Connect the power cable to your Norton Core router, then select Next.
7. Core is Working
Be sure the green light next to the port on your router is blinking green, then select Next.
You'll be reminded that the Norton Core router setup process will use the Internet connection on your smartphone to finish setup. Select Next.
You'll be reminded that this process can take up to 10 minutes, and not to disconnect the power to your Norton Core router. Select Next.
Your Norton Core router will begin the setup and update process.
Do not unplug or restart your Norton Core router during this process.
8. Activation and Finish
Sign into your Norton Account. If you do not have an account, you can easily create one.
Once signed in, your Norton Core will activate.
Choose a name and a password for your network.
Setup is now complete!
9. Gateway Addition Setup
Select the Gateway picture, then select Next.
Using the Ethernet cable, connect one end to one of the ports on the back of your Gateway, and the other to the Port with the globe on your Norton Core router, then select Next.
Connect the power cable to your Norton Core router, then select Next.
10. Enable Bluetooth
Swipe down from the top of the screen.
Tap the Bluetooth icon to enable it.

11. Install Android App
Launch the Play Store on your smartphone.
Select the search bar at the top.
Type in Norton Core, then select Norton Core Secure WiFi Router from the list.
