Introduction
- Charge your Parrot drone's battery.
- Install the propellers onto the drone.
- Install the companion app onto your mobile device.
- Connect your mobile device to the drone.
To complete the set up process, you will need to connect your mobile device to your home's Wi-Fi for internet access, then to the drone's Wi-Fi to manage and operate the device.
1 Safety First
As with all Drone flying, please keep the following in mind:
- Make sure you are properly registered with the Federal Aviation Administration, or qualify to fly without registration.
- Make sure you have permission to fly from the person or group that owns the land you'll be over.
- Make sure you are in-touch with the control tower before flying near an airport.
- Make sure there's no obstructions, such as power lines or trees, above your flight area that could cause problems.
- Make sure there's no one below your flight area that could be hurt.
- Make sure you are not near government infrastructure or other sensitive properties.
- Make sure the weather is safe to fly in.
- Make sure you keep your drone in your sight at all times, and get help from an observer if necessary.

2 Install Propellers
- The four propellers come in two colors, two of each color. One propeller of each color has a hole in the middle.
- Install the propellers:
- Place the propellers with a hole in the middle on the motors with a protruding axle (front right and rear left motors).
- Place the propellers without a hole on the motors without the protruding axle (front left and rear right motors).
- Lock the propellers with the propellers mounting tool:
- Turn the mounting tool clockwise for the propellers with a hole in middle.
- Turn the mounting tool counter clockwise for the propellers without a hole in the middle.
3 Charge Battery
- Pull the latch upwards on the rear end of the drone to release the battery, then pull out the battery.
- Connect the battery to the charger and the charger to a power outlet. The battery charge indicator light will turn orange while the battery is charging and then green when it's fully charged.
The battery should take about 45 minutes to charge.
- Slide the battery back into place and make sure it clicks.
4 Turn On
- Press and release the button on the rear end of the drone to turn it on.
- The drone will make an initialization sound and the button will light up and blink a few times until it stabilizes.
5 OS Choice
To continue, we need to know what Operating System your smartphone or tablet has.
There are 2 main Operating Systems for smartphones currently available, Android and iOS.

Depending on what device (Smartphone or Tablet) and which generation you have, the menu theme and options might look slightly different on your screen. However, the steps should be similar across all Android devices and generations.
- Open Settings.
- Select Wi-Fi.
- Make sure Wi-Fi is set to On at the top.
- Select your home's Wi-Fi network from the list.
- If required, enter the Wi-Fi password for the network, then select Connect.
- Launch the Play Store on your mobile device.
- Tap in the search box at the top of the screen.
- Search for "freeflight pro" and tap on the found app.
- Tap Install and then Open to use it.
- On the first launch of the app, you'll have to Accept the Legal Mentions.
- Slide through the pages if you wish to review the new features of the current app version then tap the Back arrow in the top left.
- Review features of the previous versions of the app, if you wish, then tap the Back arrow in the top left.
- Tap Connect Now in the middle.
- Log in with an existing Facebook or Google account or create a My.Parrot account.
- Open Settings.
- Select Wi-Fi.
- Select the Bebop2_xxxxx Wi-Fi network from the list.
By default, you don't need to enter a Wi-Fi password. You only need to enter one if you set it yourself.
- Launch the FreeFlight Pro app on your mobile device.
- The app will connect automatically to the Parrot drone and show the Wi-Fi symbol towards the top right.
