How to Set Up a Sengled Motion Sensor Bulb

1. Introduction

Sengled Smartsense bulbs are a weatherproof outdoor security light that have a built-in motion sensor which can detect motion within 30 feet. Bulbs like these can help offer extra security in areas without having to replace or rewire an entire light fixture. This guide will help you set up any one of the four different kinds of Smartsense bulbs that are available for the first time.

Tools You'll Need:

• A paperclip
• iPhone charging cable
• Access to a computer with iTunes installed
• Any other non-consumable tools needed
• Comment out tools section if no tools are necessary

2. Install Bulb

1. Turn off the power to the lamp or light fixture where you want the smart light.
   

1. Remove your old bulb.
2. Carefully screw in your new Sengled bulb.
   

1. Turn your light on.
   

3. Basic Use (A19 & BR30)

Automatic OperationMake sure the power remains on to your bulb. It cannot function without power!

• Your bulb will automatically turn on when it senses movement.
• After 90 seconds without movement, your bulb will automatically turn off.

Always On Mode

If you need to keep your light on for longer than 90 seconds, it has a built-in "Always On" mode available.

1. Turn off, then back on your light for a brief moment.
   

1. Your light will remain on from now on.

Disable Always On Mode

1. Turn off, then back on your light for a brief moment.
   

1. Your light will go back to turning off after 90 seconds without movement.

4. Adjust Timing

Do not open the settings cover on the side of the bulb while the bulb is plugged in! Always make adjustments before screwing in the bulb.

1. Use a phillips-head screwdriver to open the small settings cover on the side of the bulb.
   

1. Select how many minutes you want your light to remain on for (1.5, 3, 6, or 15 minutes).
2. Set Daytime to On to let the light turn on when there's daylight, or set Daytime to Off and your light will only come on at night.
3. Replace the cover when done setting up your bulb.

5. Install Bulb

1. Turn off the power to the lamp or light fixture where you want the smart light.
   

1. Remove your old bulb.
2. Carefully screw in your new Sengled bulb.

6. Basic Use (G2)

Automatic OperationMake sure the power remains on to your bulb. It cannot function without power!

• Your bulb will automatically turn on when it senses movement.
• Your bulb will turn off automatically after however long you set in the small settings panel on the bulb.

7. Install Bulb

1. Turn off the power to the lamp or light fixture where you want the smart light.
   

1. Remove your old bulb.
2. Carefully screw in your new Sengled bulb.
   

1. Turn your light on.
   

8. Basic Use (PAR38)

Automatic OperationMake sure the power remains on to your bulb. It cannot function without power!
