How to Set Up a Sengled Security Camera Floodlight

1. Setup Smart WiFi Bulb
The Sengled Snap LED floodlight comes equipped with a 1080p security camera and a motion sensor, as well as two-way audio so you can talk to anyone within camera range. This guide will help you determine which Snap bulb you're using and how to get it set up for the first time.
The Sengled Snap LED Security Camera bulb does not require a hub; rather it connects to your WiFi router directly.
Tools You'll Need:
Ethernet Cable for setup (if your bulb has an Ethernet Port)
Supplies You'll Need:
Zip ties
Any other consumable supplies
Comment out supplies section if no supplies are necessary

Before You Begin:
You must have the Sengled Snap App installed. To use your Sengled Smart LED Security Camera, you will need to have the Sengled Snap App installed on your Smartphone or Tablet.
Sengled offers multiple types of bulbs, each with a slightly different use and program to control them. We have the following guides available for other Sengled bulbs.

There are two types of Sengled Snap bulbs available.
Look on the side of your bulb for a small door with an Ethernet port inside.
3. Setup Bulb (Wired)
Do not install your light just yet; we will get to that at a specific point during the setup process.
Open the Sengled Snap app, and select More on the top right.
Select Add Snap.
You'll be asked if there's an Ethernet port on the side of your light, select Yes.
Connect your light to your router using an Ethernet cable, then select Next.
Your lamp will pair with your phone automatically, wait for this to finish.
Follow the continued instructions on your smartphone or tablet to complete setting up your Snap light.
4. OS Choice
To continue, we need to know what Operating System your smartphone or tablet has.
There are 2 main Operating Systems for smartphones currently available, Android and iOS.
Android SmartphoneiOS SmartphoneAndroid smartphones are produced by multiple companies, such as Samsung, LG, Motorola, HTC, and OnePlus.Apple is the only company that makes iOS smartphones.
5. Setup Bulb (WiFi Android)
Do not install your light just yet; we will get to that at a specific point during the setup process.
Open the Sengled Snap app, and select More on the top right.
Select Add Snap.
You'll be asked if there's an ethernet port on the side of your lamp. select No.
Turn off the power to the light fixture you intend to install to.It is recommended that you install the Snap bulb inside temporarily while you setup, then once the lamp is setup, move it outside.
Screw in your Snap bulb.
Turn the power back on.
We're ready to setup the lamp now, select Next.
A reminder that you will need about 2MB upload speed and a strong WiFi connection for best performance. Select Next.
You'll be asked to verify the bulb has a flashing red light, indicating it's ready to pair. Select the color that the light is showing.
This guide assumes this is a new bulb, so the light will be red. If you see a different color light, select the proper response in the app, and continue to follow the instructions in the app from here on out.
You'll be asked to connect your smartphone to your lamp's provided Wi-Fi network.
Open Settings.Depending on your exact device (Smartphone or Tablet), and which generation you have, the menu theme and options might look slightly different on your screen. However, the steps should be similar across all Android devices and generations.
Select Wi-Fi.
Select the SNAP_XXX network from the list.
The network is unsecured; this is normal. You will be using it to set up the device only. After, you will be using the device over a secured wireless connection.
Return to the Sengled Snap app, and follow the instructions on your screen to complete setting up your lamp.
6. Setup Bulb (WiFi iOS)
Do not install your light just yet; we will get to that at a specific point during the setup process.
Open the Sengled Snap app, and select More on the top right.
Select Add Snap.
You'll be asked if there's an ethernet port on the side of your lamp. select No.
