How to Set Up a Transpeed Soundbar

1. Introduction

A soundbar is the easiest way of improving the sound on your TV. They take up very little space and are very easy to set up. Sound-wise, they’re much better than TV speakers and they can help bring a cinematic surround sound effect to a room that was lacking it before.

This guide will walk you though the basic setup of your Transpeed S001 soundbar.

2. Power

1. On the rear panel of the soundbar, insert the power cord into the DC IN outlet, and then insert other other end into a wall outlet.
   

1. Press and hold on the Power/Input button to power the device On/Off.

3. Audio

1. On the rear panel of your soundbar you can connect an audio jack, USB device, or TF/MicroSD Card for audio playback. This device also supports playing music via Bluetooth.

2. TF (TransFlash) cards and Micro SD cards will both work in this device. These are a type of memory card that can store data and is most typically used within smartphones and digital cameras.

4. Pairing Mode

To place your soundbar into pairing mode:

1. From a powered down state, press and hold the Power/Input button.
   

1. Your soundbar will power on. Its default mode is Bluetooth and will automatically be available for pairing at this time.
   This device will display as SOUND BAR 01 on your mobile device when attempting to pair it.

5. Connect Bluetooth

Some Bluetooth accessories are configured with a PIN or a passkey that is often listed in its manual. Check your Bluetooth accessory manual for the correct PIN or passkey.

Depending on what device (Smartphone or Tablet) and which generation you have, the menu theme and options might look slightly different on your screen. However, the steps should be similar to all Android devices and generations.

Use one of the following connection methods:

1. Swipe down from the top of the device screen if it's a phone or up from the bottom of the device screen if it's a tablet to access the menu.
2. Locate the Bluetooth icon.

1. Locate and tap the Apps Menu.

3. Ensure Bluetooth is On and then select your device from the list below.

6. Connect Bluetooth

Depending on what device (iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch) and which generation you have, the menu theme and options might look slightly different on your screen. However, the steps should be the same across all iOS devices and generations.

From any iOS Device

1. Open Settings.
   

1. Tap Bluetooth.
   

1. Set the Bluetooth accessory in pairing/discovery mode.

2. Ensure Bluetooth is On then select your device from the list below.

7. Pair Bluetooth Device

2. Click the Action Center icon in the bottom right corner of the screen.
   

1. Tap on the All Settings tile after that.
   

1. Then go to Devices.
   

1. Select Bluetooth from the left-hand column and ensure the Bluetooth switch is in the On position to the right. Your Windows 10 device will become discoverable and start searching for devices.
   

1. Once you see the device you want to pair the system with, select it then tap on Pair.
   

1. If asked to compare the passcode showing up on both devices, do so.
   

1. After the pairing was successful the device will show the Paired status under its name.
   

8. Check Audio Devices

To set your default playback device:

1. Right click on your speaker icon in the Notification Area and then click on Playback devices.
   

1. Click on your device you wish to set as the default audio device and click Set Default.
   

1. Click OK to save the changes.
   

To set your default recording device:

1. Right click on your speaker icon in the Notification Area and then click on Recording devices.
   

1. Click on your device you wish to set as the default audio device and click Set Default.
   

1. Click OK to save the changes.
   

9. Pair Bluetooth Device

1. Set your device to pairing mode. The way you do this may be differ from device to device.
   In many cases, you can place your device in pairing mode by having the device off, then pressing and holding the power button to start it up. Usually, after a few moments, it will indicate it is in paring mode (flashing its indicator light, for example), and you can release the power button.
2. On the menu bar, click the Apple menu (1), then System Preferences (2).
   

1. Select Bluetooth.
   

1. Ensure that it says Bluetooth: On. Turn it on with the button if it isn't.
   

1. Your computer will search for any Bluetooth devices in range.
2. Once your device is located, click Pair.
   

1. Once the pairing process is complete, your Mac will automatically connect to the device whenever it is in range.

10. Check Audio Devices

To set your default audio playback device:

1. Click on the speaker icon and click on the device you wish to be your default playback device.
   

To set your default audio recording device:

1. Click on the speaker icon and click on Sound Preferences.
   

1. Click on the Input tab and then select the device you wish to be your default recording device.
