3. How to add a ping camera

When choosing the location for your new camera, pick a location close to your Vivint panel. You'll generally want to keep within 200 feet of it. Line of sight is preferable, so try to avoid obstructions if possible.

The supplied AC/DC power supply is approximately 10 feet long. You should place the camera near a power outlet when possible. If there is no outlet nearby, you can purchase a power supply with a longer cable. You will need a power supply rated at 12VDC, 1.5A.

  1. Use the included mounting hardware to install your new camera.
  2. Once you've mounted your Ping camera, plug the AC adapter into the back of the unit and plug your AC adapter into the wall. It will take a few minutes for the camera to boot up.
