How to Set Up Amazon Fire TV with Sonos

1. Introduction

Many Sonos speakers now come with a built-in microphone, and can be used in combination with Amazon's Alexa service to provide a simple, voice-activated personal assistant to control your home and beyond. This means your Amazon Fire TV can also be controlled by your Sonos speakers using the built in Alexa microphone.

This guide will help you setup your Sonos speaker to communicate with Amazon Alexa so that you can use voice commands to control your Amazon Fire TV.

Before You Begin:

Sonos Setup
You will need to have the Sonos App installed and your Sonos speaker setup first.

2. Connect Fire TV to Sonos

In order to control your Fire TV using Alexa, and then Sonos, you'll need to link your Alexa account to your Fire TV. You'll then choose your Sonos speaker from the list of Alexa enabled devices.

1. Open the Alexa app on your mobile device.

1. Select Music, Video, & Books.
   

1. Select Fire TV.
   

1. Select Link Your Alexa Device.
   

1. Follow the app prompts to choose your Fire TV.
2. Then choose your Alexa-enabled Sonos speaker from the list of your Alexa devices.
