How to Set Up Parental Controls in the Sonos App

1. Introduction

Sonos allows you to set parental controls in order to restrict explicit content. It's currently only available for Amazon Music and Apple Music but may expand to other services eventually.

Parental controls are applied to all Sonos devices at once by way of the Sonos App. This guide will demonstrate how to enable it for all the Sonos devices in your home.

Tools You'll Need:

  • A paperclip
  • iPhone charging cable
  • Access to a computer with iTunes installed
  • Any other non-consumable tools needed
  • Comment out tools section if no tools are necessary

  • Comment out supplies section if no supplies are necessary

Before You Begin:

  • Have your mobile device ready.

You must have the Sonos app installed.

2. Configuring Parental Controls

  1. Open the Sonos app.
  1. Tap More to open an additional menu.

Parental Controls is a password protected feature. When you turn Parental Controls on or off you will be prompted to log into your Sonos account before the change is made.
